Open Face Mask enables easy breathing for radiotherapy patient
Date:2021-04-25

When a surgical face mask or an N95 respirator is necessary for the head and neck cancer patient undergoing radiotherapy, an open face thermoplastic mask may make it easier for the patient’s head or head & shoulders being immobilized in the same time wearing a face mask/respirator.

Open Face Masks are widely used for patients with claustrophobia, as well as in surface-guided radiotherapy (SGRT) for head & neck cancer patients. It’s proved and clinically accepted that the open area doesn’t compromise the immobilization stability.

In response to current clinic needs, Klarity has Open Face masks for all standard frame types.
